Concept is build on a traditional principles of agricultural yard and connection of partial functions through it.
The face safety pillar assessment for underground construction

The master thesis parametrically compares different methods to determine the required lengths of the safety pillar when building secondary urban collector in Brno. The analytical calculation by Šedivý is compared with mathematical modeling executed in the program Plaxis 2D 2015.02. version and also in the program Plaxis 3D Introductory 2013 version.
Determination of geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristic of soils and evaluation of their suitability for building construction on selected locality in Western Carpathians

This work is aimed at determining the geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristics of selected soils and determine its suitability for foundation construction on the example of the Western Carpathians. In this work are described by the exploration work, seepage test and evaluation of soil collected using a grading curve and porosity.
Foundations in Volume Unstable Soils

This dissertation is concerned with the foundations in volume unstable soils and objects disorders which are related to this. The thesis was focused on the study of clay and loess soils which are abundant in the geological profile of the Czech Republic. First, the formation of the two groups of soils is introduced, then their properties are examined and finally the influence of vegetation on the former type and the influence of collapsibility in the latter type are investigated. The conclusion is, in fact, a recommendation on the design of structures so that the system of clay / structure is not damaged and that structures are not subject to renovations. Several instance of problems with structures are discussed which were subject to structural repairs employing both a civil and geotechnical engineers.
Diagnostic Methods Suitable for Monitoring of Drying Process of Brick Product

This work deals with the study of diagnostic methods suitable for monitoring of the drying process of brick raw materials. Based on the extensive literature search, several parameters are selected, which are appropriate to monitoring during drying. In addition, a methodology for measuring these selected parameters is proposed. In the experimental part, the use of all described methods is gradually verified on the brick raw material with and without shortening additive (also known as grog). Was carried out: measurement of the surface temperature in the climatic chamber, determination of humidity distribution in the sample, determination of moisture diffusivity, determination of tensile strength, determination of ultrasonic wave velocity and determination of dynamic E-modulus of elasticity. Results of experiments and the gained experiences show, that at least two of the above-mentioned monitoring methods are very appropriate and beneficial – determination of moisture diffusivity and determination of tensile strength. In the work was described in detail the procedure of determination of moisture diffusivity of material. The dependence of moisture diffusivity on the moisture content of the dried material, has been described. Also, differences between raw material with grog and without grog has been described. As part of the practical verification of the experiment designed to determine the tensile strength at different humidity levels of test samples. A new shape of the test specimens and a new device were designed to allow them to be attached to a hydraulic press. The results of this work show that the tensile strength of the ceramic green bodies is primarily dependent on the moisture content of the material. The type of raw material almost does not affect the tensile strength.
Quaternary climate and origin of eolian deposits

The Quaternary climatic conditions have controlled the origin of eolian deposits. The loess/paleosol sequences represent a valuable natural archives used for understanding of Quaternary climate and stratigraphy. Loess deposits cover about 10% of the continent areas. We can compare a proxy-record from these sediments, often from distant areas, to get knowledge of global significance. The applied mineral magnetic analyses enable understand the paleoenvironmental signal preserved in the loess/paleosol sequences and compare it with a proxy-record obtained from deep ocean sediments
Magnetic fabric of loess and paleosols on selected localities in South Moravia

Pleistocene loess-palaeosol sequences provide a unique proxy-record enabling detailed reconstruction of Quaternary palaeoenvironments. Environmental magnetic methods are often used to read the natural archives. The loess-palaeosol sequences exposed in two sections located in southern Moravia and a sequence from central Bohemia were studied in a frame of this Diploma Thesis. Variations of bulk magnetic susceptibility, measured in the sediments, show similar pattern as in the Chinese loess-palaeosol bodies - i.e. palaeosols reveal higher magnetic susceptibility in comparison with loess due to magnetic enhancement. The magnetic enhancement is driven by weathering during pedogenic processes related to the formation of ultra-fine magnetite particles. The magnetite content is controlling the sediment magnetic behavior. The magnetic enhancement rate indicates more intense pedogenic processes in the Moravia in comparison with Bohemia. Magnetic fabric in studied loess, represented by space orientation of anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility ellipsoid, indicates dominating glacial wind palaeocurrents across the southern Moravia blowing from W or SW, respectively. In the years 2013 and 2014 excavations of soil probes and soil samples were carried out on 14 plots. Areas damaged by water erosion with soil type of chernozem were selected. The results of bulk density and total porosity confirmed the compaction of the soil with the worst results at the foot of the slope and in the subsoil. High values of maximum capillary capacity and low values of minimum air capacity indicate a violation of soil structure. The loess covers in the middle of the slope come into contact with precipitation water and agricultural machinery and change in physical properties occures. The decrease in carbonate content in the loess caused by erosion was found in the middle part of the slope and at the point of accumulation. Humus content, as well as phosphorus and potassium content, is significantly reduced due to erosion in the middle part of the slope. It has been confirmed that water erosion has a negative impact on a variety of soil properties, even in the profile depth, and worsens the conditions for good plant growth.
